Samuel I. Minder, Sr. (11/4/1930-11/6/2005) was the founder, owner, and operator of Samuel I. Minder Nurseries, Inc. He started tying myrtle bunches in the basement of a row home on Euclid Avenue Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1955. Since then, Samuel I. Minder Nurseries, Inc. has expanded to include four locations in Lancaster County selling millions of plants annually throughout the nation. Samuel I. Minder Nurseries, Inc. plants can be found on such prestigious sites as The White House, Pentagon, The Smithsonian Institute, United Nations Building, The Bronx Zoo, Disney World, World Trade Center Memorial, and many other landscape sites. Presently, Samuel I. Minder Jr. & Steven D. Minder own and operate the nurseries. Michael J. Minder, Matthew E. Minder, & Samuel I. Minder III are the 3rd generation playing key roles in the management and growth of the business today.
